The tenth of the 24 solar terms——Summer Solstice

The summer solstice is the moment when the sun's direct rays reach their northernmost point, the Tropic of Cancer. On this day, locations in the Northern Hemisphere experience their longest daylight hours of the year (with higher latitudes seeing longer days), and the solar elevation angle at noon reaches its maximum. After this day, the sun's direct rays begin to move southward, and daylight hours gradually shorten.
