The Ultrasonic Drilling Monitor provides a visual representation of a drilled foundation excavation before pouring concrete in either wet or dry conditions.
Besides, acquisition calculations of a drilled excavation to determine shaft verticality, radius, and volume, with 360 degree, 2D and 3D profile views. The Data acquisition at a rate of approximately one scan per second with eight channels scanned simultaneously.


2. Quality Control of Drilled Foundations for Base Cleanliness


Drilled hole base cleanliness is important regarding quality control and quality assurance of the drilled shafts.

To achieve cleaning once drilling is complete, a cleanout bucket is used to remove any material unsuitable for end bearing support. Bottom inspection is then performed, often by lowering a camera down the bore hole, a procedure that gives a rough idea of the thickness of any debris left at the bottom. To improve the inspection method, this Ultrasonic Drilling Monitor quantitatively evaluates the drilled shaft base cleanliness by measuring the debris thickness based on force and displacement measurements.

The measured results of all depth measuring points can be viewed, (such as the distance values between the walls and the sensors, and the center offset value of X-X’ and Y-Y’, diameter and perpendicularity). The outliers of the aperture and the perpendicularity are highlighted. The error values can also be modified directly.
