In June 2009

China Unibusiness Holding Co., Ltd was officially established in Hong Kong, marking the founding of the very first company under the Drillmaster Group. This milestone laid the cornerstone for the Group’s future development in the global construction and drilling equipment industry. As the pioneering entity, China Unibusiness served as the Group’s initial platform for international business operations, facilitating overseas market expansion, cross-border partnerships, and the strategic integration of resources. Its establishment signified the beginning of Drillmaster’s journey toward becoming a globally recognized provider of advanced drilling solutions.

In June 2011

Drillmaster’s first manufacturing facility — the Unimate Drilling Tool Factory — was officially established in Liuyang, Hunan Province. This marked a significant step in the company’s transition from international trade to localized production. The factory was built to support the Group’s growing demand for high-quality drilling tools and to ensure better control over product quality, cost, and delivery time. Equipped with modern machinery and staffed by a skilled engineering team, the Liuyang facility became the backbone of Drillmaster’s manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to independently design, produce, and innovate a wide range of drilling tools tailored to different geological conditions and project requirements. The launch of this factory not only strengthened Drillmaster’s supply chain but also laid a solid foundation for future product diversification and large-scale industrial development.

In November 2012

Unimate achieved a major technological breakthrough by independently developing its first multi-functional microdrilling rig. This innovation marked a new chapter in the company’s commitment to research and development, showcasing its ability to design and engineer equipment that meets the evolving demands of modern construction and geotechnical engineering. The rig was compact in structure, yet powerful in performance, integrating multiple functions such as anchoring, jet grouting, and micro-pile drilling into a single, versatile machine. Designed to operate efficiently in confined urban environments and complex geological conditions, the microdrilling rig was well-received by both domestic and international clients. This milestone not only elevated Unimate’s position in the domestic drilling equipment market but also laid the groundwork for its continued innovation in specialized rig solutions.

In November 2013

Unimate was officially recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise in Hunan Province — a prestigious honor awarded to companies that demonstrate strong capabilities in independent innovation, cutting-edge research, and technological advancement. This designation marked a significant milestone in Unimate’s development, highlighting its continuous investment in R&D, its commitment to technological excellence, and its growing influence in the construction machinery industry.

In June 2015

Drillmaster made a strategic investment in Beijing Unidrill Technology Co., Ltd., establishing it as the Group’s dedicated production base for kelly bars and desanders. This move was a key component of Drillmaster’s broader strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and expand its product specialization in core foundation drilling equipment. Located in the nation’s capital, Beijing Unidrill benefited from a favorable industrial environment and access to a highly skilled workforce, making it an ideal hub for both precision manufacturing and technological innovation.

The facility was equipped with advanced production lines and rigorous quality control systems to ensure the consistent delivery of high-performance kelly bars and efficient desanding systems, both of which are critical components in rotary drilling and piling operations. By investing in this specialized base, Drillmaster not only strengthened its supply chain and improved production efficiency but also solidified its competitive edge in the domestic and international markets. In September 2017

Hunan Drillmaster Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. was officially founded, marking a major milestone in the Group’s corporate evolution. With the establishment of this entity, Drillmaster formally set up its global headquarters in Hunan Province, signifying the transition from a decentralized structure to a unified, strategically managed enterprise group.

The founding of Hunan Drillmaster Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. not only symbolized the Group’s steady growth and organizational maturity, but also reflected its long-term vision of becoming an industry leader through innovation, integration, and internationalization. From this point onward, Drillmaster began to further consolidate its resources, optimize internal processes, and strengthen coordination across all subsidiaries and production bases. The new headquarters became the command center for driving strategic initiatives, deepening global outreach, and building a solid platform for the Group’s next stage of high-quality, sustainable development.

In August 2018

Drillmaster successfully hosted the first International Casing Rotator Construction Technology Conference. The conference served as a high-level platform for exchanging cutting-edge insights, sharing practical experiences, and showcasing technological innovations in the field of casing rotator construction.

In December 2018

Drillmaster achieved a significant milestone by becoming the largest exporter of rotary drilling tools in China. This accomplishment reflected the company’s relentless dedication to quality, innovation, and global market expansion over the years. By consistently delivering high-performance, reliable drilling tools tailored to diverse geological conditions and construction requirements, Drillmaster earned the trust and recognition of clients in numerous countries across the U. S, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, the Middle East, South America and beyond.

The company’s extensive product range, combined with its robust manufacturing capabilities and stringent quality control processes, enabled it to meet the growing international demand effectively. Drillmaster’s leadership in export volume also underscored its competitive advantage in cost performance, customization, and after-sales service. In May 2019

Drillmaster successfully hosted an International Foundation Construction Method Conference in Guangzhou.

The successful hosting of this event in one of China’s most dynamic cities not only deepened Drillmaster’s engagement with the international engineering community but also underscored its strategic commitment to advancing the future of foundation technologies through openness, dialogue, and global cooperation.

In June 2019

Drillmaster made a strategic investment in Wuhan Unidrill Technology Co., Ltd., marking another important step in the Group’s continuous effort to expand and upgrade its drilling tool production capabilities. This investment completed the company’s comprehensive upgrade of its drilling tool manufacturing bases, enabling a more integrated and efficient production network across multiple locations.

Wuhan Unidrill Technology Co., Ltd., located in a key industrial hub in central China, was equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and advanced quality control systems. The facility specialized in producing high-precision drilling tools designed to meet the rigorous demands of various geological environments and complex foundation projects. By integrating Wuhan Unidrill into its production system, Drillmaster significantly enhanced its manufacturing capacity, reduced lead times, and improved supply chain resilience.

In August 2020

Drillmaster garnered widespread attention when it was featured in a special report by CCTV, China’s national television broadcaster, in recognition of its pioneering achievements in international livestreaming amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. At a time when traditional face-to-face business interactions and international trade exhibitions were severely disrupted, Drillmaster quickly adapted by leveraging cutting-edge digital technologies to maintain and even expand its global presence.

Through innovative livestreaming platforms, the company was able to showcase its advanced drilling equipment, conduct real-time product demonstrations, and engage directly with overseas clients and partners despite international travel restrictions. This breakthrough not only enabled uninterrupted communication and business continuity but also opened up new channels for marketing and sales in an increasingly digital world.

In January 2022

Drillmaster made a strategic investment in Hunan Imachine Technology Co., Ltd., marking its official entry into the second-hand construction machinery industry. This move represented a significant diversification of Drillmaster’s business portfolio, expanding beyond its traditional focus on manufacturing and supplying new drilling and foundation equipment.

By investing in Hunan Imachine Technology, a company specializing in the refurbishment, resale, and service of used construction machinery, Drillmaster positioned itself to tap into the growing demand for cost-effective and sustainable equipment solutions in both domestic and international markets. The second-hand machinery sector offers tremendous potential for extending equipment lifecycle, reducing capital expenditure for contractors, and promoting circular economy principles within the construction industry.

In January 2023

Drillmaster took a major step forward in strengthening its global industry presence by successively joining several prestigious international deep foundation associations, including ADSC (The International Association of Foundation Drilling), DFI (Deep Foundations Institute), AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers), and CCMA (China Construction Machinery Association). This strategic move reflected Drillmaster’s commitment to aligning with the highest standards and best practices in the deep foundation and construction machinery sectors worldwide.

By becoming an active member of these influential organizations, Drillmaster gained access to a wealth of industry knowledge, cutting-edge research, technical resources, and global networking opportunities. In July 2023

Drillmaster played a pivotal role in the construction of the prestigious Xihoumen Highway and Railway Bridge project, showcasing its engineering prowess and manufacturing excellence on a global stage. For this landmark infrastructure endeavor, Drillmaster successfully fabricated the world’s largest interlocking kelly bar, measuring an impressive diameter of 930 mm with specifications of 5 segments each 28 meters long (φ930-5*28m), as well as the largest drilling tool ever produced — a massive cleaning bucket with a diameter of 6.3 meters (Ф6.3m). These groundbreaking tools were specifically engineered to meet the demanding technical requirements of the project, which involved drilling depths reaching up to 130 meters.

The manufacture and deployment of these record-breaking components demonstrated Drillmaster’s advanced capabilities in custom engineering, precision fabrication, and material technology. This achievement not only contributed to the successful completion of one of China’s most ambitious bridge projects but also earned Drillmaster the prestigious title of producing the “No.1 Kelly Bar & Drilling Bucket in the World.”This milestone underscored the company’s continuous commitment to pushing technological boundaries and meeting the ever-evolving needs of complex engineering projects.

In August 2023

Drillmaster officially established Drillmaster Technology FZCO as its branch office in the Middle East, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. Situated within a key regional hub, this new office was strategically positioned to better serve the rapidly growing construction and infrastructure markets across the Middle East and surrounding regions.

The establishment of Drillmaster Technology FZCO not only enhanced the Group’s local presence but also enabled faster response times, improved customer service, and closer collaboration with regional clients and partners.

In March 2024

Drillmaster participated in the foundation construction of the Hangzhou Bay Railway Bridge and fabricated the world's longest friction kelly bar(φ720-6*28m) for the project, with a drilling depth of 160 meters.

In March 2024, Drillmaster took a important role in the foundation construction of the iconic Hangzhou Bay Railway Bridge, one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in China. For this challenging engineering endeavor, Drillmaster successfully fabricated the world’s longest friction kelly bar, measuring an impressive diameter of 720 mm and consisting of 6 segments each 28 meters long (φ720-6*28m). This cutting-edge drilling tool was specially designed to meet the demanding requirements of the project, enabling a remarkable drilling depth of up to 160 meters.

In December 2024

Drillmaster Group reached a major milestone in its global equipment trade operations, as the total number of used construction machines exported exceeded 100 units. This achievement marked a significant breakthrough in the Group’s second-hand machinery business, which had rapidly developed since its official entry into the sector in 2022.

Among the exported equipment, used rotary drilling rigs and used crawler cranes stood out prominently, both ranking first in terms of export volume within their respective categories across the industry. This leading position reflected not only the strong market demand for Drillmaster’s well-maintained and professionally refurbished equipment, but also the company’s growing reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service in the pre-owned machinery sector.

To support this growth, Drillmaster established a systematic process for equipment sourcing, technical inspection, professional refurbishment, and global logistics. Each machine was carefully assessed and upgraded by experienced engineers to meet stringent performance and safety standards before being shipped to clients from all over the world.

The milestone of surpassing 100 units exported symbolized Drillmaster’s successful diversification into circular construction economy practices, while demonstrating its ability to meet the budget-conscious needs of contractors without compromising on quality. It also reinforced the Group’s strategic vision of becoming a full-cycle equipment solutions provider — from manufacturing new machines to extending the lifecycle of used equipment for global markets.

In February 2025

Drillmaster officially established Hunan Drillmaster Trenchless Technology Co., Ltd., marking its formal entry into the rapidly growing and technologically advanced field of trenchless construction. This strategic move represented a significant expansion of the Group’s business portfolio, as it stepped beyond traditional foundation engineering into the specialized domain of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) — technologies that enable underground infrastructure installation with minimal surface disruption.

The establishment of Hunan Drillmaster Trenchless Technology Co., Ltd. marked a new chapter in the company’s development — one that further solidified Drillmaster’s ambition to become a globally recognized, multi-disciplinary provider of advanced engineering equipment and solutions.

On June 16th, 2025, next Monday, Drillmaster will celebrate its 16th anniversary.
