Are you troubled by these construction nightmares?

1. Sticking Phenomenon

The double bottom or single bottom drill bucket is drilled in the hole, or the bottom plate is opened during the lifting of the main coil, and the offset bottom plate is stuck on the dense or solid hole wall, causing the drill bucket to be unable to be lifted, lowered and rotated. Use a measuring rope to measure , The rope drop can detect the top plate of the drill bucket, and there is no sediment on the upper part of the drill bucket (non-buried drill). This phenomenon is stuck.

2 Analysis of The Reasons for Sticking

(1) Dense and solid geology: dense and solid geology is an important factor that causes sticking, such as hard plastic soil, dense sand layer, gravel layer, pebble layer, solid rock layer, etc. When the double-bottom or single-bottom drill bucket is in the bottom of the hole, Due to the offset of the bottom plate during the lifting process, the bottom plate or the side teeth get stuck on the dense and solid hole wall.

(2) Vibration: When drilling into violently vibrating pebble layers and strongly weathered rock formations, the bottom plate locking mechanism is easily vibrated, and the bottom plate is opened when the drill is lifted, resulting in a stuck drill.

(3) Spring metal fatigue: The long-term use of the spring of the drill bucket drive opening device leads to metal fatigue, resulting in weak hooks, unreliable locking mechanisms, and the opening of the bottom plate to cause sticking.

(4) Wear of the drill body: the bottom of the drill body is the easiest to wear. When the bottom of the drill body is thinned or worn, drill down to the bottom of the hole and the bottom plate of the drill bucket bears the load at the bottom of the hole. The hook is not load-bearing and is separated from the hanging ring. In a free state, drilling vibration or blocky geology such as gravel, pebbles, strongly weathered rock formations, etc., when particles of the same particle size enter the hook to block the hanging ring, and the bottom plate is opened during the start of the drilling or the lifting process, which may cause stuck drill.

(5) Offset hole: If there is a sharp offset hole in the hole, after the drill bucket is lifted to the sharp offset hole position, the transmission opening device on the top of the drill bucket will touch the hole wall of the sharp offset hole, which will cause the bottom plate to open and cause sticking.

(6) Smashing rod: The smashing rod falls on the spring tray, and the huge impact force will vibrate the bottom plate of the drill bucket, causing the drill to stick.

3 Measures to Prevent Sticking

(1) Inspection and maintenance of drilling tools

Regularly check the drilling tools on time, such as the wear condition of the bottom edge of the drill body, spring elasticity, transmission device connecting pins, nuts, welding of hanging rings, etc. If the wear is found, it should be repaired or replaced immediately, and the transmission should always be maintained. The close combination of the device hook and the hanging ring prevents the bottom plate from being opened.

(2) Operation control

①Reduce vibration: The drilling vibration is severe, the speed of the power head is reduced, the shaft pressure is light, the engine speed is reduced, and the drilling vibration is reduced through control to prevent the bottom plate from being vibrated.

②Judgment that the bottom plate is open: After the bottom plate is opened in the hole, the load of the power head is abnormal. It can be tested to rotate left and right in the hole, the main coil is lifted and lowered, and the empty drill will be loaded. If the above situation occurs, it can be judged that the bottom plate has been opened.

③If it is judged that the bottom plate has been opened, please idle the engine, turn the power head at a low speed, test the rotation, and monitor the sound changes of the power head and the main coil load. When the lifting load rises, it should be stopped and lowered immediately to prevent jamming. This is repeated up and down, left and right, until the drill bucket is lifted out of the hole.

(3) Preventing Rods

Monitor the unlocking and telescopic nodes of drill rods, and prevent the bottom plate from being shaken by smashing rods.

(4) Prevention of Partial Hole

According to different hydrogeology, the drilling tools are selected and optimized, which can reduce vibration, improve drilling and positioning capabilities, and vertical pile holes can reduce the probability of sticking rods and touching the opening device, avoiding sticking.

(5) Opening Device

The drill bucket opening device should be as close to the square sleeve as possible without interfering with the drill pipe. When the drill is lifted up and down, under the guidance of the drill body, the opening device will not touch the hole wall, and the bottom plate will not touch the hole wall. It will not be opened; even if there is a sharp deviation in the hole, the probability of the transmission opening device touching the hole wall can be reduced.

(6) Adjust the Gun Rod

If a serious deviation hole has occurred, the mast can be adjusted in the opposite direction of the deviation hole, which can eliminate the stress of the other drill pipe caused by the deviation hole, which can not only protect the drill rod, but also reduce the deviation hole. The resulting smashing rod with the rod will vibrate the bottom plate and cause the hidden danger of drilling; in addition, the stress of the other drill pipe is generated by the other drill bucket, so when lifting the drill, the drill bucket will lift the drill with the offset hole under the action of the mast inclination. It can reduce the probability that the opening device of the drill bucket touches the wall of the sharply eccentric hole, prevents the bottom plate from being opened, and reduces the probability of drilling stuck.
